The XDP X220 Main Stud Kit XD3003MS replaces the factory main bolts on your 2003-2010 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke. Featuring 8740 Chromoly construction with an added proprietary element for additional strength to ensure these studs will not stretch like the factory bolts. These heavy-duty studs are rated at 220,000+ psi tensile strength and 210,000+ psi yield strength to provide better clamping force under higher combustion pressures. The threads are rolled after heat-treating to provide maximum fatigue strength. 
In addition to the increased strength, replacing the OEM main bolts with studs also allows you to obtain a more accurate torque reading. A conventional bolt gets twisted as it is tightened, so it's reacting to two different forces at the same time. With a stud the force gets applied to the vertical axis, resulting in a more even clamping force. In addition, they also allow for easier engine assembly and proper alignment of the main bearing caps every time. These are a must-have for high-performance applications and are reusable, unlike the OEM Torque-To-Yield (TTY) bolts which must be replaced after each use. Studs are manufactured in an ISO/TS 16949 quality control facility to ensure the highest level of quality. Installation instructions are included for a hassle-free installation.
